Newest Citizen, Royal Family Visit Afula

Dominion of Afula – Members of the King’s immediate family gathered today in Afula for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began earlier this year following a five-day visit to the national capital by Florenia’s newest citizen.

Sarisha Danforth, a friend of the Prince Nathan’s who became a citizen of the Kingdom on 1 October 2019, arrived Sunday for a multi-day stay in Florenia. Danforth and the prince stayed in the Barn, Afula’s just-renovated outbuilding which can serve as a recreational facility, a guest accommodation, and a government workspace, becoming the first people to spend the night in the space following the project. While Danforth has visited the urban Dominion of Lexington, this was her first time exploring Florenia’s vast natural resources and beautiful scenery, inspiring a painting now approaching completion. The prince has indicated on multiple occasions that she will join the government in some capacity, but that her recent visit was purely for pleasure.

Danforth departed the Kingdom Friday afternoon.

Arriving around noon today, the King’s mother the Duchess of Southbury and his sister the Duchess of Milton were first received outside the Palace of State before touring the Barn. The King’s brother the Duke of Wolcott and his family arrived shortly thereafter, followed in turn by the Duke of Milton and his dog. The Miltons’ children were unable to  attend. The Wolcotts will stay in the Barn tonight and depart Sunday evening, while the rest of the family returned to their homes in the late afternoon. Lunch was served outdoors and social distancing maintained between the different groups throughout the visit. The royal family enjoyed fair weather following ominous forecasts, and the Prince Zachary fished on Floren Pond with his young cousin Prince Noah of Wolcott.
